Composer Bio

Isaac Page is a Toronto-born composer and conductor. As a composer, his music juxtaposes the ideas of the familiar and unfamiliar in playful and often humorous ways. Isaac is inspired by the ideas of identity, and his music deals with the concepts of personal and national identity. His catalogue includes choral, orchestral, solo, chamber, theatrical, and operatic works. He was awarded a 2017 SOCAN Young Composer Award for his choral piece A Mari Usque Ad Mare. His music has been performed by ensembles such as the Richmond Hill Philharmonic Orchestra, The Yacht Club, Laurier Singers, and Flute Street. Upcoming performances include a premier of a new work for the Wilfrid Laurier Wind Orchestra. In addition to his compositions, Isaac is also an accomplished arranger, working with both vocal and instrumental ensembles. His arrangements have been performed by many orchestras, including Symphony New Brunswick and the Regina Symphony Orchestra. Isaac also arranged the music for "Leaving Eden", which was awarded Best Musical at the 2019 New York Musical Festival.
